Our Mission
Mr. Awesome empowers gentlemen of all ages with disabilities to build confidence, create community, develop meaningful friendships, and celebrate what makes each person unique. Through our annual Showcase and year-round opportunities, participants can express themselves, get involved in their communities, try new experiences, and be recognized for their abilities and accomplishments.
how it started
Our Story
Mr. Awesome began with a simple question: “Is there something like this for us?”
The idea grew directly from gentlemen with disabilities in our community. After watching and supporting women in their lives participate in Utah Miss Amazing, several began asking if there was a similar opportunity created for them—a place where they could build confidence, make friendships, express themselves, and be celebrated for who they are.
When we couldn't find an equivalent program designed specifically for gentlemen with disabilities, Mr. Awesome was brought to life.
In 2024, we held our first Mr. Awesome Showcase, giving gentlemen of all ages with disabilities an opportunity to step into the spotlight and share their personalities, interests, abilities, talents, and accomplishments.
What started with a question has grown into a community—and we're just getting started.

Friendship, connection, self-expression, and community involvement should be accessible to gentlemen of all abilities. Families, friends, volunteers, and supporters are an important part of the Mr. Awesome community too.
Abilities deserve the spotlight.
We focus on what each gentleman can do. Whether he's sharing a passion, trying something new, serving his community, or stepping onto the Showcase stage, we celebrate what makes each Prince uniquely AWESOME.
